The town Petrinja is placed on the crossing of the routes Zagreb - Kostajnica and Sisak - Karlovac. It is 56 km far from Zagreb, 13 km from Sisak, 33 km from Kostajnica and about 80 km from Karlovac.
The best public transport connection is is connection with Sisak by buses, then with Zagreb. The bus schedule is available at Čazmatrans.
The railway Caprag - Karlovac is dismounted.

Hrastovačka (Hrastovička) gora (415 m)
- Ehat is Medvednic ato Zahreb, this is Hrastovačka (or Hrastovička) Gora for Petrinja and Sisak. It is not well known for hikers but there are new mountain hut, dozen of hiking trails and it is a control point for Croatian Hiking Trail
